Quick Glance

• Location: Kansas City, Kansas
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4x10s (Days)
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
• Setting: Operating Room (Level I Trauma)

What You’ll Do

• Assist surgeons during a wide range of operative procedures
• Maintain sterile field and ensure proper instrumentation and supplies
• Anticipate surgical team needs and provide efficient intraoperative support
• Prepare and handle surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Collaborate with OR staff to ensure safe, effective patient care

Case Mix

• Orthopedic (strong experience required)
• Trauma and general surgery
• GYN, urology, and plastics
• Robotic (DaVinci) procedures
• Neuro spine and complex head & neck cases
• Exploratory laparotomy (ex-lap) cases

Schedule & Details

• 4x10 day shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
• On-call required (up to 6 shifts per 13-week assignment)
• Floating required across multiple ORs
• Holiday coverage required if it falls on scheduled days

Must-Have Credentials

• CST (NBSTSA) OR minimum 3 years of Surgical Tech experience
• BLS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Surgical Tech experience (or 3 years in lieu of certification)
• Level I trauma experience
• Strong orthopedic surgery experience

Preferred Experience

• Previous travel experience
• Experience with robotics (DaVinci)
• Broad OR background across multiple specialties
