• Call only -- 24-hour call shifts with 20-minute response time
• 1 - 2 patients seen per call shift
• Hospital setting
• Arthroscopy and total joint replacement skills required
• Fractures, sports injuries, and general ortho cases -- no spine
• Leave coverage
• Beeper call -- surgeon responds only when ED requests a consult
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
