Anesthesiologist opening with a diverse case mix and a care team model in Joliet, IL. Case assignments include cardiac, thoracic, neuro, general, OB, and healthy peds. Various shift options are available. Team leadership is provided by Steven Jiotis, MD. Anesthesia leadership fosters a cohesive, growth-oriented environment, with ongoing opportunities for development. The group includes both dedicated anesthesiologists and CRNAs who are at all stages of experience and tenure, and work in a care team model.

Responsibilities include assisting in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department, responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements include an M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX completion, completion of an approved residency in anesthesia, and currently being licensed as a physician.
