Pharmacy Technician in Chesterfield, VA

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail and long-term care pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support medication distribution and customer service. This contract position offers consistent weekday hours and an engaging role within a healthcare setting focused on patient care and support.

Location:

Petersburg, VA

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately distribute medications prescribed by physicians and other healthcare providers.
Provide clear, helpful information to customers regarding their medications and proper usage.
Deliver exceptional customer service with attention to detail and empathy.
Support the pharmacy team to maintain efficient workflow and compliance with regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid VA Pharmacy Technician license.
Experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety.
