School Bus Driver

Qualifications Valid Minnesota license with clean driving record Successful completion of DOT physical exam Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug & alcohol screen Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed: Successful candidates must be able to work split shift; have skills and aptitude to operate a bus safely; enjoy the presence of children; be reliable and punctual. No experience required – paid training provided to obtain necessary license and endorsements. DOT physical and drug testing are required. Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self‑discipline and honesty. Specific Tasks: To safely and efficiently transport students to and from their school site and/or special events. Most Drivers depart approximately 6:00 a.m. and return about 9:00 a.m. and depart again approximately 1:30 p.m. and return around 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon. Hours per day: Route Driver Hourly Rate: $26.50/hour, Activity/Dept Driver Hourly Rate: $21.25/hour Hiring Incentive: $500 Hiring incentive for new hires: Bus Driver: New employee is paid out $500 when the new employee has worked for 6 consecutive months Incentive does not apply to substitutes Rehires must have one year break in service to be eligible for hiring incentive May become benefit eligible if combined with other positions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
