Certified Sterile Processing Technician

Travel position; specific location details available upon inquiry.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 5x8-Hour schedule from 23:00 to 07:00. Block schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment. This role requires knowledge of sterile processing methods, high-level disinfection procedures, and robotics.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-level disinfection and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Utilize washers, sterilizers, and other cleaning equipment effectively.
• Assemble instrument sets and trays per established protocols.
• Document sterilization processes and monitor biological and chemical indicators.
• Maintain organized inventory of instruments and equipment.
• Assist with the operation of robotic equipment when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1 year of experience in a sterile processing environment preferred.
• Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Experience with robotics preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
