At OrthoArizona we are committed to best-in-class patient care, being a pioneer in research and technology, and most importantly, rewarding and recognizing our team members.As a PACU Registered Nurse with OrthoArizona, you will get to:Monitor post-operative patients' levels of consciousness during recovery from anesthesia.Measure and record patients' vital signs.Closely observe patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication.Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia.Update charts, patient files, and medical records.Collaborate with the medical team on post-operative patient care and facilitating timely specialized interventions.Provide comfort and reassurance to distressed post-operative patients and concerned family members.Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care, as well as answering questions.Attend required meetings.Maintain strictest confidentiality.Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all timesIs punctual for all shifts and obtains authorization for overtime or schedule changes from Supervisor.Observe policies regarding breaks, meals, time off, and calling in sick.Prioritize work activities based on clinical demandsDemonstrate behavior that protects the safety of self/others and of the facility and equipment.Keep work area clean and unobstructed.Provide monitoring of patient progress between Physician or PA visits.Participate in Professional Development activities and maintain professional affiliations/certifications.Qualifications:Graduation from accredited school of nursingValid Arizona State LicenseMaintain CPR certificationWorking knowledge of computer programsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of orthopedic examination, diagnostic, and medical proceduresKnowledge of medicationComplete and maintain HCP trainingUnderstand/Perform training on practice management softwareContinue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occurFollow all Standard Operating ProceduresMinimum Qualifications:RN LicensePreferred Qualifications:Minimum 3-year experience in a healthcare settingFull Time Benefits:Robust paid time off package including, sick time, holidays, & paid time off!Medical with multiple different plan options.Health Savings account + company contributions.Dental & Vision insurance.401(k)Pet Discount Plan.ID Theft protection & Legal assistance.
