Superior Industrial Equipment is seeking a Sales Engineer to grow our business throughout Nebraska and western Iowa. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, solving industrial equipment challenges, and developing a territory.

Headquartered in Sycamore, Illinois, with a repair facility in Des Moines, Iowa, Superior supplies industrial pumps, mechanical seals, fluid handling equipment, and repair services. We work with leading manufacturers to help industrial customers improve equipment reliability and performance.

\n

The Role

\n

You will manage and grow existing accounts while developing new business throughout Nebraska and western Iowa. You’ll work directly with maintenance, engineering, operations, and purchasing teams to understand their needs and recommend equipment and service solutions.

\n

Key responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Build lasting relationships with industrial customers through regular plant visits and follow-up.
\n
• Identify opportunities for pumps, mechanical seals, replacement equipment, repairs, and reliability improvements.
\n
• Prospect for new accounts and develop relationships with key decision-makers.
\n
• Work with our applications, inside sales, repair, and manufacturer teams to develop technical recommendations and quotations.
\n
• Manage opportunities from initial discovery through proposal, negotiation, and order.
\n
• Maintain accurate customer records, opportunities, and forecasts in Pipedrive.
\n
• Develop and execute a territory growth plan.
\n

Who We’re Looking For

\n

We’re looking for a self-motivated salesperson with technical curiosity, strong follow-through, and the ability to earn customers’ trust.

\n

Relevant experience may include:

\n

\n
• Industrial sales involving pumps, mechanical seals, rotating equipment, valves, motors, MRO supplies, or equipment rental.
\n
• Working directly with industrial plants and their maintenance, engineering, or operations teams.
\n
• Developing new accounts while growing established customer relationships.
\n
• Managing a geographic territory and a longer sales cycle.
\n

\n

Pump and mechanical seal experience is preferred, but we also welcome candidates with a strong industrial sales background who are ready to learn our products. An engineering degree is not required for candidates with relevant technical and sales experience.

\n

Established relationships within Nebraska and western Iowa are a plus. Candidates should live within or near the territory and be able to travel regularly for customer visits.

\n
