Registered Nurse - Infusion

Job Summary:
The Oncology Infusion RN provides comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient infusion setting, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate treatment delivery. This role involves administering chemotherapy, monitoring patient responses, and educating patients about their care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and infusion medications accurately and securely.
• Perform IV starts, port access, and maintain central line care.
• Operate infusion pumps and closely monitor infusion therapy for adverse reactions.
• Conduct patient assessments, record vital signs, and document all care within Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with oncology providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Support treatment preparation, review charts, and ensure correct lab orders and insurance authorizations.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license with a minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
• Current OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification.
• AHA BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with port/PICC access and outpatient infusion settings is highly advantageous.
