Lead Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary Responsible for delivering cardiopulmonary care under medical supervision, supporting the Respiratory Director, and leading the respiratory team. The therapist works with minimal supervision, makes independent decisions, and meets departmental performance standards. Key Responsibilities Provide oxygen administration. Perform arterial puncture and blood gas analysis. Manage ventilators, including non‑invasive ventilation. Administer aerosolized medication. Use pulse oximetry and chest physiotherapy. Conduct airway management. Respond to codes. Attend high‑risk births. Perform EKGs as needed. Make daily assignments and schedule staff. Act as immediate supervisor in the Director’s absence. Technical Capabilities Laboratory Testing & Analysis (Advanced) Apply laboratory test knowledge to diverse areas of the department. Lead in complex, high‑pressure situations. Develop best practices for laboratory testing. Ventilator Management (Advanced) Apply ventilator management in challenging situations. Lead in high‑pressure scenarios. Develop best practices for ventilator management. Respiratory Therapeutic Procedures (Advanced) Apply procedures in complex, high‑pressure contexts. Lead in demanding situations. Develop best practices for therapeutic procedures. Training & Development (Novice) Present course modules as part of a program. Demonstrate knowledge in content, structure, objectives, and audience analysis. Respond professionally to content questions. Work Experience: Relevant experience less than 1 year. Education: Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program.
