Laborer Maintenance Utility Worker- Norwood

Maintenance Laborer Responsibilities Ensure a safe work environment, in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Follow company policies and MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Perform tasks as outlined by the supervisor and meet expectations for each specific project. Repair and provide daily maintenance of conveyors, crushers, and plants as needed. Maintain and operate the plant daily. Maintain grounds (stone piles, fences, gate areas and rail ties). Operate and maintain various vehicles, machinery, and other equipment used at the site. Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies. Responsible for upkeep of tools and work area. Skills and Qualifications Previous field experience in asphalt or aggregate manufacturing, concrete manufacturing, or construction is preferred. Knowledge and ability to perform general repairs on plant equipment using standard industrial tools and understanding of mechanical systems. Strong troubleshooting ability for all plant issues. Welding experience is a plus. Able to operate mobile equipment such as skid steer, front‑end loader, dump truck, and manlift. Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work effectively with others as a team. Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work on assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Responsible, reliable, and dependable. Able to work 60+ hours per week. Physical Requirements Frequently required to kneel, climb, bend, stoop and crawl. Push, carry, and lift 75 pounds or more. Compensation $21.00 - $23.00 per hour.
