Water / Wastewater Engineer in Training

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Training to join our team. The position will focus primarily on water/wastewater related projects, including but not limited to supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal. We are seeking a self‑motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow as a professional working in a fast‑paced team environment. Essential Job Requirements Willing and able to travel to project sites as necessary. Practical and technical written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to work in and support a team environment. High level of independence, confidence, and strong work ethic. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to apply fundamental engineering principles. Familiarity with engineering software for design and analytical analysis. Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles focused around hydraulic and environmental engineering concepts. Familiarity with development of technical reports, engineering plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Duties & Responsibilities Support field investigations or assessments. Perform design engineering calculations. Assist in the design of various types of water and wastewater infrastructure. Provide data collection, analysis, and reporting. Participate in writing and production of project reports. Take direction, guidance, and mentorship from senior engineers. Advance a project from inception to construction, through various stages of design and construction by adhering to timeframes and deadlines. Required Qualifications BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master of Science in the same or related field preferred) from an EAC/ABET‑accredited college or university. EIT certification (i.e., passed or able to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam). Ability to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) license following completion of required work experience. Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $114,000 We are not currently sponsoring applicants for work visas.
