Job Responsibilities Provide leadership by coordinating and executing workflow throughout the warehouse, prioritizing safety, sanitation, cost control, productivity, accuracy, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. Serve as a visible leader within the Cold Crew, fostering positive relationships with staff and upholding company culture. Participate in employment-related decisions (hiring, promotion, terminations). Prioritize, supervise, and direct various warehouse tasks and customer requests, allocating labor as needed. Determine overtime requirements and seek approval from management. Supervise and respond to incidents, injuries, and near-misses; conduct investigations and log reports into the safety system. Participate in the corrective action process and address interpersonal issues, seeking guidance from upper management or HR. Coach, provide feedback, and train staff to continuously improve labor efficiency. Approve timecards, assist with scheduling, and manage time‑off requests. Conduct performance reviews of team members, ensuring clear and constructive feedback. Ensure adherence to warehousing practices, food safety standards, customer SOPs, and inventory accuracy, maintaining an inspection‑ready facility. Act as liaison between warehouse staff and other departments to ensure smooth workflow. Coordinate with shipping and receiving to manage truck docks, trailers, and pallet flow. Execute tasks within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to assign doors, direct tasks, manage inventory, and address exceptions. Collaborate with co‑workers to troubleshoot and resolve warehouse issues efficiently. Serve as escalation point for various matters, resolving issues as needed. Occasionally perform Warehouse Associate and Lead duties based on business demands. Job Specifics Location, Department and Work Hours: XXXXXX Warehouse – Hours vary Reports To: Manager and Superintendent Travel Amount: May vary Job Type: Full Time, EEO What We Are Looking For Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; 2+ years of college or 2–3 years Team Lead/Supervisor experience (preferred) Experience: Warehouse supervision and operations in a food or temperature-controlled environment; radio frequency and other warehouse computer applications (including MS Office); detail- and customer service-oriented; planning, organizing, written and oral communication, problem solving, decision making, excellent math skills. Abilities: Lead and influence others; handle multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced team environment; work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements & Accommodations Lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with assistance; lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Operate in temperature range +50°F to –30°F, moderate noise levels. Stand and walk for extended periods; use hands to handle tools; lift overhead when required. Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment.
