Sr DevOps Engineer Intake

Overview Sr DevOps Engineer with a focus on GCP-based infrastructure and DevOps operations. Supports and modernizes the application and cloud platform landscape, including customer-facing and internal websites/applications such as WebSphere / HCL Commerce and WebSphere Application Server environments. Responsibilities Manage and support production and non-production environments on GCP. Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps processes. Support customer-facing and internal websites, applications, and cloud-native platforms. Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and related technologies. Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and participate in incident response and root cause analysis. Manage deployments, environment configurations, secrets, certificates, and platform integrations. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and support teams to ensure reliable and secure operations. Drive improvements in availability, scalability, performance, security, and operational efficiency. Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform standardization, documentation, release management, and change management practices. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure engineering. Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC, Cloud Armor). Strong expertise in CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform, and Terragrunt. Experience with Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native platforms. Knowledge of security best practices, including Vault, IAM/RBAC, and DevSecOps. Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash/Shell (Go preferred). Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, middleware, networking, and cloud infrastructure. Experience supporting production web applications and customer-facing platforms. Excellent communication, ownership, and collaboration skills. Preferred Experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS), HCL Commerce, or similar enterprise application platforms. Experience supporting eCommerce or other business‑critical digital platforms. Familiarity with middleware, web servers, certificates, integrations, and enterprise release/change management processes. Hours regularly 40 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule: corporate office in Houston, TX on Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Monday and Friday.
