Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an 8-week day shift assignment, requiring ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification and prior travel experience.

Details

• Nuclear Medicine department in a hospital setting
• Adult patient population
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Performs bone scans, thyroid studies, renal flow studies, brain scans, lung scans, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, PET scans, and nuclear cardiology procedures including MPI Cardio SPECT
• Utilizes equipment from GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba

Requirements

• ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
• BLS required
• CNMT certification preferred
• ARRT (R), ACLS, NCT, and PET certifications preferred
• License required if applicable
• Prior travel experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in IV starts, venous blood draws, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with radioactive materials storage, handling, and disposal
• Charting system experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including stress testing, perfusion studies, and tumor localization scans
• Follow radiation safety protocols for handling and disposal of radioactive materials
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Prior facility employees under permanent status are not eligible for this assignment
• Requested time off limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
