Cable Technician (Low Voltage – Copper & Fiber)

Location: Torrance, CA (Field-based across Southern California)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (~6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, may vary)

Employment Type: Contract (6 Months)

Pay Rate: $25–$32/hr + OT (1.5x)

We are hiring experienced Cable Technicians to support large-scale low voltage infrastructure projects across Southern California. This is a great opportunity to work on high-impact environments including aerospace and government-related sites, with steady hours and long-term project potential.

• Install, pull, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic cabling
• Perform troubleshooting and certification testing
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and project specifications
• Maintain clean and safe job sites
• Collaborate with field teams to ensure timely project completion
• Submit daily progress reports and documentation

• 3–5+ years of low voltage cabling experience (cable technician, installer, or puller)
• Hands-on expertise with:
  • Cat5e/Cat6 installations
  • Cable pulling, terminations, punch-downs, and testing
• Experience working with fiber optics
• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
• Strong communication skills and professionalism on job sites
• Must have:
  • Reliable vehicle (able to transport a 6’ ladder)
  • Own basic cabling tools
• Ability to:
  • Pass background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and work in active field environments

• Fiber termination experience (2–3+ years preferred)
• Experience with Fluke testers
• Previous experience working in government or high-security environments

• On-site, field-based role across Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, and surrounding areas
• Projects include enterprise, aerospace, and government contractor sites
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Torrance,CA.
