Job Summary

This position involves assisting with patient admissions, both outpatients and inpatients, within the Emergency Department and other clinical areas of the hospital as required. Responsibilities include managing clerical duties associated with patient care and providing assistance with patient care for individuals ranging from newborns to geriatric patients under the direction of the Emergency Department Manager, Medical Director, and designated unit delegates.

Department Description

The Emergency Department is dedicated to providing care for patients with a diverse range of needs, addressing both non-critical and emergent medical conditions, including urgent mental health care. We welcome all patients, whether arriving independently or via emergency transport. All staff members in the Emergency Department are certified to care for critical cardiac and trauma patients of all ages, including children.

Experience/Education/Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon EMT, AEMT, or EMT-I upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
• Experience or training in computer applications is necessary.
• Previous experience in the Emergency Department is preferred.
