The Automotive Technician/Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles, including standard, hybrid, and electric models. This role involves working both independently and collaboratively within a team, focusing on ensuring vehicle safety and performance through expert diagnostics and repairs. Technicians will receive on-the-job training and primarily work behind the scenes without direct customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine repairs and maintenance
• Maintain and service brake systems
• Conduct diagnostic testing for vehicle issues
• Carry out electrical system repairs
• Service vehicle transmissions
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks
• Replace worn or damaged parts
• Conduct safety inspections on vehicles
• Test vehicles to ensure repairs are effective

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automotive repair
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of engine diagnostics and brake systems
• Understanding of electrical systems and preventive maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Customer service orientation despite mainly behind-the-scenes work
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
