Heavy Equipment Operator - 2941

Overview H&K Group, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator for its Pottstown Division. This position requires operating heavy equipment to meet daily production goals while maintaining a safe work environment. Reasons to join H&K Group, Inc.: Competitive salary commensurate with experience 100% Company‑paid Health Benefits 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan Tuition reimbursement for qualifying employees Additional training programs including on‑job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer‑offered training, and more Responsibilities Perform all work in adherence to OSHA and H&K Safety policies Control the machine by moving levers and depressing pedals Operate equipment efficiently by monitoring engine performance Clean equipment as scheduled Securely park and store equipment when not in use Grease and check fluids (oil, coolant, fuel) daily Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure proper operating condition Notify shop foreman of any maintenance or repair needs Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills, Education, and Experience One‑year certificate from an accredited college or technical school, or six months of related experience and/or training Requirement of alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered Must be able to pass a practical skills test for heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, loaders) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions Problem‑solving ability Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting) relevant to the job Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience Two years of related experience and/or training Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries OSHA or other relevant safety certifications Physical Demands Frequent requirements: sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; use hands for fingers, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear Occasional requirements: stand, walk, climb, balance; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision requirements: distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment Work Environment Regularly exposed to: outside weather conditions, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, loud noise H&K Group, Inc. does not discriminate in employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veterans’ status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr H&K Group, Inc.
