Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Oxford Solutions is working with an engineering consulting client seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and expand geotechnical engineering services within the organization. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). The role offers strong visibility and leadership responsibility, with opportunities to guide projects, mentor staff, and help grow the company's geotechnical practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations including planning, field coordination, and technical oversight
• Perform and review geotechnical analyses such as slope stability and settlement evaluations
• Serve as technical lead on geotechnical engineering projects from investigation through design recommendations
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client communication
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff
• Support the development and growth of geotechnical services within the organization
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development initiatives
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, technical documentation, and engineering recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus; Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering strongly preferred
• 8-10 years of geotechnical engineering experience in consulting or project environments
• Proven experience leading geotechnical investigations and applied engineering analysis
• Experience with slope stability analysis, settlement analysis, and subsurface evaluation
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Geotechnical Engineer license in PA, NJ, or MD
• Prior experience helping establish or manage a geotechnical program is strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Interest in contributing to business development and service line growth
