Member Team Lead

Position Summary Assist management in supervising associates within the assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, and training associates on processes and procedures. Provide direction and guidance on member service approaches to ensure member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines. Support the Open Door Policy and participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating associates. Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and encouraging renewals. Participate in sales and marketing events and complete required documentation to meet membership goals and promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services. Provide and ensure member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, guiding use of self‑service technology, and ensuring club pick‑up orders are filled. Oversee the assigned area by handling claims, returns, zoning, arranging and organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and maintaining the availability of carts and flatbeds. Assist members with transporting items using cart retrieval equipment and maintain parking lot cleanliness. Complete accounting records, file transactions and other required documentation, provide funds for register operation, create and interpret financial analysis reports, assist with accounting‑related investigations, prepare daily deposits, oversee Cash Fund Transfers, investigate overages and shortages, and maintain confidentiality of financial and personal information. Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners; analyze and apply information from multiple sources; monitor progress; identify improvement opportunities; and enforce compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity. Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining priorities, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and modeling adaptation to change or new challenges.
