Details 4A Surg/Onc unit providing care for orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical patients Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every third weekend required No on-call requirements Floating required within the same discipline across local campuses Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license (IA or Compact) Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted) NIHSS certification required (may be obtained during onboarding) 2 years of Med Surg and/or Oncology experience required High-acuity care experience preferred Required experience administering Heparin, PCA, and epidural drips Chemo drip experience required if certified Valid driver's license required for consideration Skills checklist specific to Med Surg required for consideration One supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the last two years required for consideration Additional Information Level 3 Trauma Center setting Contributes professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team Navy blue scrub color required Winter holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) Limited time-off requests permitted during the winter holiday period First-time travelers are welcome to apply; prior travel experience preferred Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at any UPH market within the past 12 months unless their prior work was itself a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-766684.
