Custodian - Part Time

Job Details Location: Wausau - Wausau, WI 54403. Position Type: Part Time. Salary Range: $12.00 - $12.00 hourly. POSITION SUMMARY This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Cleans and improves YMCA facilities and equipment, including preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide overall facility cleaning and keep supervisor aware of product inventory. Check the proper operation of all cleaning equipment. Complete cleaning work and projects in a timely manner. Help in the process of picking up, laundering and disbursing towels. Work in an efficient manner and as a team member with other custodial staff. Make supervisor aware of cleaning issues and anything in need of repair or replacement. Ensure that assigned equipment is maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in a custodian position desired but not required. Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and other maintenance-related tools/equipment. CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 60 days of employment. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations. Have reliable transportation. SCHEDULE Hours will be evening shift of approximately 6 hours Sunday - Saturday, 3-5 days a week. Flexibility on days and hours.
