Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | On-Call: Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Respond to emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site until an event resolves or participating as part of a relief team
• Complete required facility modules during orientation as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Current AHA-issued ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA certifications required)
• Current CPI certification, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Valid NURSYS report submitted with profile (must be within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are accepted
• Strong ability to perform in high-acuity, high-volume emergency care environments
