Data Analyst Master Data Job Description

Position: Data Analyst Master Date

Location: 300 S Riverside Plaza (Travel to Beloit, Wisconsin 10-20%, Chicago Office primary location)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: 12 months with potential for 24 months

Overview: We are looking for a Technical Data Analyst whose primary job responsibilities would be to perform analysis on Master Data, Transactional and Analytical data. The company is in the process of implementing an ERP system along with many other applications rationalizing key business processes. We are looking for someone who can parse through existing business processes and recognize all the data elements that are being ingested by those processes. Someone who can help us create scripts for data analysis, data conversion, data dictionary / data glossary, data definitions, etc.

This position is NOT related to enterprise analytics, business intelligence, big data or data science. We are looking for someone who has data analysis experience in ERP related Master Data Conversion Projects.

Program Overview: The Agility Program is made up of three critical components.

• Core ERP solution definition and rollout (Agility)
• Standard suite of solutions definition, building the necessary interfaces and integrations, rolling out a “complete” solution suite
• Best practices and SOPs definition, documentation, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with our business stakeholders to understand the current business processes and document various data elements and sources of data used by those process
2. Perform data analysis by digging into the SQL scripts and help us put together the data requirements for the business process
3. Work with application teams, SMEs to understand source systems and produce mapping documents for new solutions.
4. Study / Analyze source application documents, data models, data profiling and flush out technical requirement documents.
5. Good understanding and prior experience in working with ERP conversion/migration projects for data analysis and data conversions.
6. Study / Analyze source application documents, data models, data profiling and flush out technical requirement documents.
7. Write SQL Code for Data Profiling, Data Quality & Data Validation
8. Work with technical teams to build the desired solution as per requirements
9. Perform Data validation
10. Devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharts, perform ETL/coding, and test/debug output

Key Skills:

1. At least 8-10 years of experience writing complex T-SQL queries (SQL Server)
2. At least 8-10 years of experience with SQL Server (Stored procedures, Views, etc.)
3. Be able to write analyze and tune complex T-SQL scripts
4. At least 8 years of experience in data analysis and creating scripts for data validations
5. Writing SQL Code for Data Profiling, Data Quality & Data Validation
6. Experience with ERP Master Data Conversions.
7. Agility to work with cross functional teams
8. Have excellent communication skills and partner with both Business & Technology stakeholders
9. Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Good to have knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and data virtualization concepts.
