App. Technical Specialist Senior

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Application Developer/Technical Specialist with 11-15 years of experience to design, develop, deliver, and enhance Client-Server/Web-Based/Cloud-Based/Mobile applications using Microsoft .NET, ASP, and C#, while providing technical mentorship and strategic advice within the Application Software Development Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy applications supporting case and program management systems
• Build and implement additional functionality, system enhancements, and fixes for assigned applications
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform proactive application monitoring, including audit log tracking
• Work with Business Analysts to formulate IT solutions improving process efficiency
• Build enhanced reporting and dashboard capabilities
• Provide mentorship and technical advice to a team of Application/Reports/Query developers
• Interact daily with government clients to meet technical requirements for new initiatives
• Implement programming standards ensuring secure, defect-free applications; work with QA (Quality Assurance)/QC (Quality Control) teams
• Define and document processes for application developers; update system/process documentation, user guides, ER diagrams, SOPs, and Visio network designs
• Plan, research, and recommend new equipment, software tools, and related technologies
• Confer with business/technical personnel to resolve design and processing issues; coordinate development team activities

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience (15 years)
• Enterprise application development using Microsoft technologies in distributed (n-tier) architecture (15 years)
• Conveying technical/functional concepts for a specific technical specialty (13 years)
• Preparing complex technical documentation (13 years)
• Developing applications using C#, ASP.NET (11 years)
• Database technologies, development methodologies, front-end (e.g., Cognos)/back-end (e.g., SQL) programming (11 years)
• Enterprise applications interacting with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases (11 years)
• Visual Studio 2010+ with .NET Framework 2.0 4.6.2, C# and VB (10 years)
• Strong ETL experience in Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence platforms (7 years)
• Databases using ADO.NET (7 years)
• Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Service Oriented Architecture (6 years)
• Experience with JIRA, Bugzilla, or HP ALM tools (5 years)

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Hands-on experience with Java, XML, HTML, JavaScript, BPEL, PHP, or WebLogic
