Nurse Practitioner will work with a variety of patients and must be caring, compassionate, and able to communicate well with people of all ages and backgrounds. They will promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinic's ability to meet its goals and objectives. Nurse Practitioner must demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.Duties:Take medical histories and perform patient examinations.Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays.Make diagnoses.Provide treatment.Manage chronic health conditions such as diabetes.Perform preventive procedures such as immunizations.Prescribe medications and other therapies.Monitor and record patient progress.Educate patients about their health and instruct them in self-care techniques.Promote wellness practices.Respond to medical emergencies.Performs work of equal skill and responsibility as directed. Preferably working with underserved populations in psychiatry.Required Licenses/Certifications:Missouri State Advance Practice Nurse LicenseCurrent BLS Certification required.Psychiatric Certification is required.Must possess an active DEA license/registration.
