Accounts Receivable Specialist (Temp)

Location: Glendale, CA (Hybrid)

In-office (Tue-Thursday), remote (Monday & Friday) Day Shift

Pay: $35-40/hr.

The role is an entry level (2-3 yrs) AR Specialist, and the candidate must be able to be in the Glendale office Tues-Thurs and remote Mon/Fri. In addition to AR experience, chargebacks (not credit card chargebacks, talking about amounts deducted by customers from their payments for various business reasons) 50% collections 50% chargebacks.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for month-end general ledger close in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS, including posting journal entries, reviewing financial results and reconciling accounts.
• Perform treasury duties, including daily cash transmission, tracking of daily cash activity, and preparing cash forecasts and reporting packages.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare business licenses and various business tax returns.
• Prepare audit schedules as necessary.
• Assist with special projects and accounting research as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business/Finance with basic knowledge of GAAP.
• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience; beauty, manufacturing or CPG preferred.
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and complex Excel spreadsheets.
• Excellent interpersonal skills able to work effectively as a team member.
• Ability to pick up responsibilities quickly and work with limited direction.
