Overview Shift: Friday-Sunday; 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM As a Patient Safety Companion, you'll be the extra set of eyes and caring presence that helps patients feel safe, supported, and never alone. Responsibilities Provides 1:1 direct observation to assigned patient to prevent patient self-injury in a situation where patient/family is unable to do so. Communicates with assigned nursing/nursing support staff on assigned area immediately in case of emergency, or as needed to provide patient care on routine basis. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service. Abides by all hospital and departmental policies. Must be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds.
