This role offers the opportunity to deepen technical expertise while supporting project execution, design development, and client coordination.

What you will do:

• Support quality control reviews and apply engineering standards consistently • Assist in developing project scopes, budgets, and schedules • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design safe and reliable substation systems • Execute P&C design tasks including schematics, wiring, and enclosure layouts • Participate in client meetings and provide technical support during construction • Conduct field inspections, compliance documentation, and factory acceptance testing • Learn from senior engineers and contribute to mentoring junior staff when appropriate

What you will bring:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution • 37 years of experience in substation P&C design • E.I.T. certification preferred; P.E. license a plus • Familiarity with NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and utility-specific standards • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD tools • Experience with relay setting software (e.g., SEL AcSELerator, ETAP, SKM, or ASPEN) is a plus • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Ability to work both independently and with a project team to take a project from start to successful completion • Willingness to travel occasionally for field support and client meetings
