Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Medical City Las Colinas. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of recent PCU experience and possess strong telemetry interpretation skills.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer and monitor patient care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients in a high-acuity environment.
  
  
• 
  Interpret telemetry readings and respond promptly to arrhythmias or evolving patient conditions.
  
  
• 
  Manage critical cardiac drips and perform post-sheath hematoma management.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and adhere to unit policies.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Float to Med Surg as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry interpretation and cardiac care.
  
  
• 
  Experience with Hematoma management post-sheath removal is preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM.
  
  
• 
  Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications.
