About the role The Pediatric Physical Therapist is a full-time, hourly position responsible for providing evaluation, treatment, and ongoing care for children from birth through age 18. This role focuses on improving functional mobility, strength, coordination, and independence through evidence-based physical therapy services. Therapists at The Therapy Place work with a wide range of diagnoses, including gross motor delays, neuromuscular and developmental disorders, orthopedic conditions, and mobility limitations. You will develop individualized plans of care, provide hands‑on treatment, and collaborate closely with families to support carryover into home and community environments. This position offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, speech‑language pathologists, educators, and support staff. Therapists may also collaborate within the Bridges School program, supporting an integrated therapy and education model. This is a full‑time, hourly role with consistent scheduling and the opportunity to earn overtime based on caseload and clinic needs. What you’ll do Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations Develop and implement individualized plans of care Provide direct, evidence‑based therapy services to pediatric patients Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Educate caregivers and provide home exercise programs to support carryover Recommend adaptive equipment, orthotics, and mobility supports as appropriate Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic, state, and payer requirements Maintain compliance with HIPAA and professional standards Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, educators, and administrative staff Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and care coordination Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and students as assigned Participate in trainings, continuing education, and professional development Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Eligible for and maintains South Carolina Physical Therapy licensure Experience or strong interest in pediatric physical therapy Strong clinical reasoning and ability to adapt treatment to individual needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Passion for working with children and supporting families #J-18808-Ljbffr The Therapy Place
