Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) | Utica, New York

Seeking experienced medical laboratory professionals to support high-quality diagnostic services in a busy clinical setting. This contract role is perfect for individuals with a background as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT), interested in a dynamic generalist position. Current opportunities include one day shift and two night shift placements.


Key Schedule Details:

• One Day Shift position available
• Two Night Shift positions available

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
• Broad experience as a generalist across core lab disciplines
• Proficiency in conducting and interpreting routine and complex laboratory analyses
• Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and perform quality control procedures
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Residency more than 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities:

• Receive, process, and analyze client samples in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and other laboratory areas
• Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments and analyzers
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standards
• Accurately document and report all laboratory results using the laboratory information system
• Collaborate closely with clinicians and laboratory colleagues to deliver timely, accurate diagnostic information
• Participate in continuing education and training initiatives to keep skills current
