Human Services Program Manager II (NS)The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, and has approximately 17,000 employees. It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.The Early Intervention Program Services Director provides senior leadership and operational oversight for key statewide functions of North Carolina's Infant-Toddler Program. This position leads efforts related to program quality, monitoring and continuous improvement, technical assistance, workforce and professional development, and statewide communications. The Director works closely with Early Intervention leadership to address complex programmatic and operational issues, strengthen statewide consistency and performance, support federal IDEA Part C compliance and monitoring readiness, and guide strategies that improve services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. The position also provides leadership and supervision to managers responsible for quality assurance/quality improvement and workforce and professional development.The assigned work location will be determined by the county of residence.
