Position Overview

Stein Counseling and Consulting Services, Ltd., a trusted behavioral health provider in Onalaska, WI, is seeking two full‑time AODA Counselors to join our dedicated clinical team. Candidates must hold an active Wisconsin credential ( CSAC , SAC , or SAC‑IT ) and demonstrate skill in delivering compassionate, evidence‑based substance use treatment to clients across the lifespan. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete clinical intake assessments, substance use disorder evaluations, and individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence‑based practices.
• Address co‑occurring mental health needs within scope of practice.
• Coordinate care with internal teams, families, and community partners.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with DHS 75 and agency standards.
• Uphold all legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin credential: CSAC , SAC , or SAC‑IT
• Knowledge of current best practices in substance use disorder treatment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to trauma‑informed, culturally competent, client‑centered care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient, school‑based, or community‑based treatment settings
• Familiarity with co‑occurring disorders and integrated care approaches
• Ability to work with diverse ages and clinical presentations
