Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a dependable, personable, and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing primary care practice in Sarasota.We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, can work efficiently in a busy medical office, and takes pride in providing friendly and professional patient care.RequirementsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA)1–3 years of medical office or clinical experienceSpanish-speaking ability or working knowledge of Spanish preferredPhlebotomy/blood draw experience highly desiredStrong communication and organizational skillsComfortable working directly with patients of different ages and backgroundsBasic computer and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experienceDependable, punctual, professional, and able to work well as part of a small teamResponsibilitiesRoom patients and obtain vital signsReview and update medications and basic medical historyAssist providers during patient visits and proceduresPerform EKGs and other basic in-office clinical testingPrepare examination rooms and maintain clinical suppliesAssist with blood draws and specimen collection when qualifiedCoordinate laboratory orders and follow-up itemsReturn patient calls and communicate provider instructionsAssist with prescription refill requests and clinical documentationHelp coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up appointmentsMaintain accurate information in the EMRAssist Spanish-speaking patients when ableHelp ensure patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from arrival through checkoutWho We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.
