Construction Project Coordinator

Construction Project CoordinatorSun Door and Trim is seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our office team. Your role will be to assist the Owner, President, and Project Managers in the day-to-day project administration and coordination tasks. You will be in a vital role as the person coordinating material and labor needs for projects. Your responsibility will be to ensure that materials and labor are scheduled so that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.ResponsibilitiesEstimate labor requirements for each phase and plan lead personnelCoordinate field and material schedules, including calling superintendents and posting all scheduling information to the calendar.Assist with supervision and directing project activities as assigned by the PM, including planning and coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, and maintaining procedures and standards.Coordinate project kick-off and pre-con meetings when necessaryAssist with preparing the job start-up and close-out checklists.Responsible for preparing copies of schedules and blueprints for the field crew.Coordinate punch-list activity tracking and maintain daily logs and project documentation.Track and log additional work and materials as needed for projects.Handles multiple projects simultaneously at various stages and locations.Verify material readiness for each project.Coordinate workflow and on-site requirements with the superintendent.Communicate with general contractors on project status and timelines.Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions.Uphold a culture that values safety, integrity, and excellence throughout all project phases.Communicate daily with job site leads for status updates.Responsible for tracking and closing out completed work requests.Track inbound material to ensure the schedule is on track.Conduct job site inspections as needed.Responsible for communications with field crew and on-site contacts.Qualifications2+ years of experience in commercial constructionStrong understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and drawings.Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and Mac Mail.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.Detail-oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize important information regarding plan layouts, material deliveries, and job site productivity.Must have a reliable vehicle, insurance, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.CharacteristicsStrong desire to learn and improve every day.Eagerness to be mentored and coached.Innate curiosity to learn more and dig deeper.Determination and persistence.Highly organized with attention to detail.Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift or move 20 pounds on occasion.Ability to walk in construction job site conditions, walk steps, ramps, etc.The work environment is indoor/outdoor work as needed during all seasons.Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.Benefits$50k-$65k annually based on experienceHealth, dental, and visionPaid vacation time (after one year)Paid holidays (after one year)Paid sick timeMust be willing to consent to a background check and drug test (all applicants are checked through E-verify and are required to pass the background check and drug test).
