Title: Microbiome Science Consultant
Location: Lower Gwynedd, PA (greater Philadelphia, PA)
Company: Fortune 100 Food & Beverage Manufacturing (FuseGlobal has worked with this company for 20 years)
Initial term: 6 months (position expected to run longer)
Schedule: On site Monday-Friday 9a-5p.

About This Role:


This role supports day-to-day translational research studies and laboratory assay development operations, with a primary focus on DNA extraction, sequencing, microbiology culturing, and results documentation. In addition, this role supports the clinical laboratory team to establish an end-to-end, quality-guided sequencing workflow and microbiome bioinformatics pipeline to support manufacturing, stability, and future pre-clinical studies. This individual will execute experiments, document results, and contribute to study protocol development to ensure high-quality, GxP compliant data generation

• Education Requirement:
  • Life science background: Master's or PhD in biomedical sciences preferred, bachelor's with 5+ years highly relevant experience

• Experience Requirement:
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience with a master's or advanced degree OR 5 years of relevant work experience with bachelor's degree
  • Analytics and data interpretation: 5 years of experience required (may include graduate and post-graduate work)
  • Digital Proficiency: 2 years of experience required
  • Project management: 1 year preferred
