POSITION SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision, the Fleet and Equipment Director is responsible for enterprise wide oversight, compliance, and strategic management of PRIDE Industries’ fleet vehicles and capital equipment. This role oversees the full lifecycle of fleet vehicles and equipment including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, utilization, sustainment, and disposal while establishing and enforcing corporate policies that meet operational needs at the lowest total cost of ownership. The Director provides leadership across fleet and equipment programs, ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, partners with Procurement and Finance on sourcing and capital planning, and establishes financial, operational, and performance metrics reported regularly to executive leadership.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Provide enterprise wide strategic leadership and governance for all fleet and capital equipment programs nationwide, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
2. *Oversee full lifecycle and asset management of vehicles and equipment, including acquisition, utilization optimization, maintenance strategies, replacement forecasting, disposal, and multi year capital planning.
3. *Establish, implement, and maintain fleet and equipment policies, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.
4. *Ensure compliance with all applicable DOT, CHP, federal, state, and local regulations, including oversight of registrations, licensing, certifications, insurance, recordkeeping, and audit readiness.
5. *Provide governance of fleet and equipment management systems, including telematics, maintenance platforms, and reporting tools, to ensure data integrity, compliance, utilization visibility, and lifecycle cost control.
6. *Lead enterprise fleet and equipment safety programs, including performance monitoring, incident and trend analysis, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in safety outcomes.
7. *Direct preventative maintenance and reliability programs to support safety, operational continuity, and cost-effective asset performance.
8. *Partner with Procurement and Finance to develop sourcing strategies, evaluate buy and lease options, and manage annual and multi year capital expenditure planning.
9. *Lead fleet and equipment supplier and vendor strategy in partnership with Procurement, including performance oversight and support of contract negotiations for vehicles, equipment, fuel, and related services.
10. *Oversee fuel and energy programs, including fuel card administration, consumption controls, and equipment usage monitoring.
11. *Lead vehicle and equipment disposal and remarketing strategies to optimize residual value and ensure compliant disposition.
12. *Review and approve interdepartmental and interstate transfers of fleet vehicles and capital equipment to optimize asset deployment.
13. *Monitor and analyze fleet and equipment utilization, performance, and lifecycle costs, identifying opportunities to improve financial stewardship and operational effectiveness.
14. *Prepare and present executive level reports and recommendations on fleet and equipment cost, utilization, safety, and performance to senior leadership.
15. *Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across fleet and equipment programs, processes, systems, and supplier relationships.
16. *Supervise, develop, and lead assigned staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and coaching to build organizational capability.
17. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible fleet and equipment management experience, including at least seven years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing large, multi state fleets and capital equipment portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, CHP, and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements including audit readiness.
• Experience developing and managing operating and capital budgets.
• Experience partnering with Procurement and Finance on sourcing, contracting, and capital planning and vendor performance management, including service level oversight and commercial issue resolution.
• Ability to conduct total cost of ownership and lifecycle cost analyses for vehicles and equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills and experience leading process improvement initiatives across fleet programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.
• Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools and fleet management systems and data-driven performance reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a dynamic, regulated environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Business Administration or related field
A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.

Valid Driver's License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
• Ability to perform work in an office environment sitting for extended periods of time.
• Frequent use of a computer, viewing a computer screen and utilizing a keyboard and mouse.
• Ability to communicate effectively by telephone and in person.
• Occasional standing or walking within the office environment.
• Ability to read, review, and process written and electronic information.
• Occasional travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
