Make an impact in education by supporting student success as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work 1:1 with a 5th-grade student in a Life Skills classroom, providing crucial interpretive services within an engaging academic environment.

This assignment is full-time (35 hours per week), running from August 19, 2026, to June 2, 2027, with a set schedule of 7:20 am to 2:10 pm. You’ll play an essential role in fostering communication and supporting student growth throughout the school year.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid and current credential as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• A minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is required
• Previous experience working in educational settings, particularly with elementary-aged students, is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teachers, staff, and students
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a supportive presence in the classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for a 5th-grade student throughout the school day
• Collaborate with special education teachers and support staff in the Life Skills room
• Assist in adapting classroom materials and activities to ensure full student participation
• Support the individual learning, behavioral, and social needs of the assigned student
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding student interactions and progress
