Sorter MRF

Shift: Monday‑Friday 6:00am‑4:30pm. Pay: $16‑17.50. Job Summary The Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials on the conveyor line. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect materials and sort items into piles or containers according to type, size, condition, coloring, or paper grade. Pull contaminants out of paper or off the floor. Stack boxes and skids and dump boxes and totes of material. Feed wastepaper onto the conveyor. Clean up the conveyor and surrounding sorting line; keep the work area clean. Read the monitor for machine start‑up and ensure the machine operates properly and at a moderate speed. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operating and maintaining equipment. Report any worker safety factors or equipment malfunctions. Attend weekly/monthly safety and operations meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: No experience. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
