1. POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides comprehensive hematology and oncology care within a coordinated cancer program. The role includes outpatient clinic services, infusion center collaboration, hospital rounding, and shared call within a multidisciplinary oncology environment.

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide hematology and oncology care in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Manage patients receiving infusion therapy in a dedicated infusion suite
• Conduct evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing management
• Collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast oncology, and supportive care teams
• Participate in shared night/weekend call and hospital rounding
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EMR and AI enabled tools
• Support quality and performance improvement initiatives

3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Physician with qualifications in Hematology and Oncology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible

4. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in general hematology/oncology
• Interest in working within a multidisciplinary cancer program

6. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide hematology/oncology services across outpatient and inpatient settings
• Collaborate with infusion nurses, navigators, dieticians, pharmacists, and support staff
• Utilize Epic EMR and AI scribe technology to support workflow efficiency
• Participate in coordinated cancer care pathways

7. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in departmental operations as assigned
• Support practice growth and patient access initiatives

8. WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment: Hospital; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice

• Outpatient oncology clinic with exam rooms and infusion bays
• Hospital rounding and shared call
• Multidisciplinary cancer care environment

9. SCHEDULE & CALL REQUIREMENTS

• Monday Friday, general workday timeframe
• Shared night/weekend call
• Hospital rounding included

10. REPORTING STRUCTURE

This position reports to Clinical Leadership and collaborates with oncology, radiation oncology, breast oncology, and multispecialty teams across the organization.

• Competitive compensation with upper six figures to low seven figures earnings potential
