HR Generalist - North East Business Unit

Job Summary The Human Resources Specialist will support global functions as a member of the Global HR Team by performing professional level human resources work. The Specialist focuses on personal and department accountability, customer service, and work efficiency. The position will work out of our Nashua, NH office five days a week. The role may also be based in Charlotte, North Carolina; Tempe, Arizona; or Columbus, Indiana. Major Duties Assists HR team with projects, summarizes information, renders opinions, and makes recommendations on needed actions. Assists with resolving employee concerns by investigating complaints, evaluating possible courses of action, and providing advice, guidance, and direction. Assists with job postings, screening candidates by conducting interviews, scheduling pre-placement examinations, and onboarding new employees. Researches and makes recommendations to management regarding new legislation and emerging laws that affect workers compensation and HR practices. Maintains HR records by documenting incidents and resolutions of problems. Assists the HR Director in maintaining compliance on employment and workers compensation matters by adhering to governmental laws and regulations. Assists in responding to employment‑related civil actions and federal agency changes by conducting investigations and maintaining, collecting, or compiling documentation. Develops and maintains confidential files using electronic files, spreadsheets, and various database systems. Interacts with and supports other HR team members with administrative needs as requested or required. Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources strongly preferred. 1‑2 years’ experience working in an HR department with a concentration in legal and/or analytical functions. Proven proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Workday is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple, changing priorities; able to work independently in a high‑priority, confidential, demanding business environment. May require some travel.
