Our healthcare partner in beautiful Salida, CO, is seeking a dedicated RN for the Family Birthing Center to join their team. As a Registered Nurse in the Family Birthing Center, you will play a critical role in assessing and evaluating the health status of both laboring mothers and newborns. Your expertise will guide the care planning process, collaborating with patients, families, and the healthcare team to set and achieve realistic health goals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Directly providing patient care and monitoring responses during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
• Promoting wellness for mothers through continuous education and support, including breastfeeding assistance.
• Documenting all events and education in patient medical records using electronic systems.
• Communicating patient conditions effectively with physicians and nursing supervisors.
• Collaborating with nursery nurses in the care of mother/baby couplets.
• Assisting physicians with procedures and supporting staff in emergencies.
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all patients in the Family Birthing Center.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
• BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Need 2 years experience in setting.
