Rotating (United States of America) Job Description Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders
- Apply radiation safety principles and maintain compliance with ALARA standards
- Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, and image quality
- Provide patient care essential to imaging procedures, including monitoring patient condition
- Recognize emergency situations and initiate appropriate life support measures when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with patients, physicians, nursing staff, and other departments
- Comply with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
- Additional hours may be required at the request of the supervisor to meet departmental objectives.
- Work hours may increase or decrease depending on patient volume and operational needs.
- Schedule flexibility is required.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT eligible
- South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) license is required
- Advanced ARRT certification preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
