divh2Vault Teller/h2pPosition is not eligible for remote work./ppA Teller undertakes bank transactions and interacts directly with customers. A Teller is usually the first person a customer sees when they walk into one of our locations. A Vault Teller is responsible for all cash and coin in a locations vault. This position will be required to work into a Saturday rotation./ppEssential functions, duties, and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:/pulliGreets all customers and visitors when they enter the location lobby or approach the drive-thru/liliOrders currency and coins for location/liliCounts and records money received and sent for shipment from Federal Reserve and other Bank locations/liliBalances vault currency and coin daily/liliProcesses daily transactions including receiving deposits, cashing checks, accepting loan payments, and disbursing cash/liliIdentifies counterfeit currency/liliCashes checks and payout money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds/liliExplains, promotes, and sells specialized products such as cashiers checks and prepaid gift cards/liliExchanges foreign currency/liliPerforms services for customers including ordering bank cards and checks/liliRecords all transactions promptly, accurately, and in accordance with bank procedures/liliPerforms as a team member in allocating and coordinating the workflow/liliAnswers inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank related products/liliAssists customers in solving account errors or problems, providing account balances, etc./liliBalances currency, cash and checks in cash drawer daily; arrange monies according to denomination/liliPromotes and maintains positive relations with all contacts, customers, and potential customers/liliAssists with training for Tellers and Customer Service Representatives/liliAssists the Teller Supervisor with answering questions regarding bank policies and procedures/liliOpens, closes, and maintains customer accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, and IRAs/liliMay be responsible for bank openings and/or closings/liliMay be required to work drive-thru/li/ulpEducation, experience, and qualifications:/pulliEducation: Required: High School or GED/liliYears of experience: Minimum: 2 Two (2) years of teller experience required; customer service experience preferred/liliLicense/Certification: Required: Independence Bank Teller Certification within 6 months/liliRequired: Independence Bank Vault/Lead Teller Certification within 6 months/liliAdditional qualifications: Requires completion of Teller Fundamentals and Teller Level Up training within three (3) months/li/ulpCore competencies:/pulliCustomer service skill/liliCustomer/client orientation/liliCash handling/liliOral communication skills/liliProblem-solving skills/liliAccuracy and attention to detail/liliSituational judgment skills/liliAbility to maintain confidential information/liliClerical and administrative skills/li/ulpWorking conditions:/pulliIndoors, environmentally controlled.
