Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Burn ICU for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for adult and pediatric burn trauma patients, with a focus on critical interventions such as invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and burn wound care. The position supports a primary care model with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, and higher acuity cases with 1:1 support. Job Details Position Description: Adult and pediatric burn trauma surgical intensive care unit registered nurse. Responsibilities include managing burn injuries from flame, scald, electrical, and chemical sources, as well as inhalation injuries, necrotic ischemia, and necrotizing fasciitis throughout the continuum of care. Required Qualifications: Licensed registered nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ICU burn setting, current license, drivers license or state ID, and professional profile verification. Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: Responsibilities include initial debridement and dressing changes, sedation management, surgical recovery, epidural pump administration, and regular monitoring including Q 1 hr pulse and flap doppler checks, IV drip titration, burn fluid resuscitation following Parkland formula, and ventilator management. Longer contracts are available starting September, lasting approximately 13-16 weeks.
