Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer emergency interventions including IV therapy, blood product administration, and ventilator management.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to acute cardiac events.
  
  
• 
  Perform triage, isolation precautions, and rapid assessment of adult and geriatric trauma cases.
  
  
• 
  Utilize advanced equipment such as Bair Hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling tools.
  
  
• 
  Float within skillset as needed, maintaining flexibility across emergency scenarios.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic health records and ensure compliance with charting standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active New York RN license; NY is not a Compact state.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 1 year of recent ER experience in adult patient care.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, including valid NIHSS.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong skills in neuro-trauma, CVA, spinal cord injury, and TBI management.
  
  
• 
  Be able to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and meet holiday requirements.
