About the Role No insurance sales experience is required; you must be willing to obtain an insurance license. Prior sales or marketing experience is ideal. As an Agent with FBL Financial Group, Inc. and its Affiliates in Omaha, you will work closely with clients to identify and manage everyday risks, focusing on traditional Home/Auto/Umbrella and life insurance products. We offer flexibility to set your own schedule and have the potential for significant earnings. Responsibilities Develop risk‑management strategies for each customer to ensure their policy needs are continuously met. Maintain accurate records of all necessary bookkeeping, client, and sales reports, and track and communicate the status of assigned goals. Use various marketing strategies to pursue new clients and grow your current portfolio of policyholders. Listen to existing, new, and prospective clients to evaluate their needs and stage‑of‑life priorities before presenting tailored insurance plan options. Stay abreast of changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients. Qualifications Experience using accounting or sales‑related software is beneficial. Willingness and ability to obtain an insurance license. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; customer service experience is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications. Motivation to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders. No prior insurance sales experience required.
