Travel PACU RN

We are seeking a qualified PACU RN for a travel assignment in Hays, Kansas. Role And Responsibilities Assess and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, evaluating vital signs and recovery status. Administer medications and treatments per post-anesthesia protocols. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective communication during recovery. Document patient conditions, interventions, and responses accurately. Respond promptly to emergencies following established standards. Develop and implement patient and family education, including discharge instructions. Collaborate with surgical and healthcare teams to coordinate care. Operate PACU equipment such as ventilators and monitors. Participate in handoff communications for seamless patient transfer. Qualifications And Skills One year of recent PACU RN experience. Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS certifications. Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients. Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC tools. Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular activity, and maintain attention to detail.
